Slimy the Slug

This is Slimy. He is a slug that one of the toddlers found on the playground.

The toddlers had fun watching Slimy. We put him into a small jar with some grass so the we could take him inside with us to show the other teachers and the preschool class. The toddlers were excited to share their amazing find. Slimy spent the afternoon with us safe inside his jar while the toddlers carefully watched his activities. He was released back into the garden at the end of the day.

Stencils

Some of our older toddlers spent time last week practicing with stencils. They needed a little help at first to see what to do with the markers and stencils but soon were writing and trying things on their own.

Along the trail and through some mud

We took a walk out on the trail to look for natural materials to use for a fall collage. The toddlers did a great job of choosing interesting leaves, flowers and other things to include. Along our way the toddlers found a mud puddle on the trail. They had fun splashing and jumping in the mud with their boots on.
