During our zoo lesson we talked about the colors of animals at the zoo. We discussed how the colors help the animals hide from other animals. We read 'A Color of His Own' then went outside to find bugs that hide in our tall grass. Below are pictures of what we found.
One of our toddlers found a small moth sitting on a leaf. One of her friends came over to look at it with her.
We found several spiders webs. This one did not have a spider on it, but some did. It was fun trying to find the spiders hiding amongst their webs.
It is hard to see, but there is a yellowish grasshopper on the red part of this plant. We thought the coloring of the grasshopper was pretty.
Here we all are walking slowly on the trail searching for hidden bugs.
