Making Goop and Playing with Rice

Ms. Kris made goop with the toddlers one day. It is a very simple recipe: corn starch, water and food coloring. But the results are more complex. The mixture appears to be a liquid, but it acts as both a liquid and a solid. The toddlers had fun touching this interesting concoction.

There was a lot of talk about cups being full and empty.
